Occlusion and TMJ

Occlusion is the area of Dental Medicine dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of temporomandibular disorders (joint problems) and malocclusion (incorrect tooth position). The most frequently reported symptoms are:

• • Joint and muscle pain;
• • Clicks when opening and closing the mouth;
• • Limitation in mouth opening;
• • Headaches, neck and ear pain.
